Review of Inside Out
If you are a Disney lover like me, you definitely won’t miss any Disney’s masterpiece. Inside Out, a touching Disney movie, makes me realize that different emotions will affect how a person deals with things. Basically, our emotions are composed of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Riley, an eleven-year-old girl, who used to live in Minnesota, has already experienced most of the teenagers’ dilemma.
There’s no denying that most people’s childhood memories are full of happiness, but everything has changed when adolescence came in your way. According to the movie, Riley’s family moved to San Francisco. Because of the unfamiliar environment, she couldn’t help missing Minnesota. Feeling like an outsider is just one of the examples. We can see now youngsters are often under pressure. Then the feelings except Joy start growing. In order to keep us away from hitting the bottom, Joy comes to save us! In my opinion, Joy represents a kind-hearted, and optimistic person in reality. On the contrary, Sadness is a person who is always depressed and pessimistic. Because of the responsibility of a main leader, Joy didn’t want Sadness to take over. In order to protect the core memories, she even drew a circle to confine Sadness! When they were on the journey to save Riley, I think that Sadness was more considerate. Although she seemed to be pessimistic all the time, she could be calm enough under every circumstance. For instance, when Bing Bong suggested them a shortcut to the headquarters, Sadness wanted to reject it because it was insecure to go on the unfamiliar way. As we can see, due to her personality, it made Sadness observe the bad aspect of what it would happen if they had taken the shortcut. Eventually, it dawned on Joy that there’s no “awful emotion” to Riley because each feeling is a factor that leads to another. Even a sad memory can transform into a delightful memory.
Happiness is an indispensable element, but it is not the only one. If we are supposed to suppress other emotions, it will contribute to blind happiness in the end. When we’re depressed or furious, others will suggest us think positively and soon we’ll be alright. From my perspective, letting off some steam is the most necessary solution that we need. By doing so, we will be sober-minded, and then it’s the right time that Joy appeared. Different feelings give us different views, and all emotions have their own unique significance. Disgust teaches us what love means; Fear makes us figure out the importance of protecting ourselves; Anger provides us with a way to release bad temper; Sadness accentuates how valuable Joy is, and Joy is the factor that makes our lives fill with hope. To sum up, a splendid life is diversified, and every feeling plays a crucial role in our lives. Too much water drowned the miller, it is important for us to strike a balance, so don’t forget to embrace all the feelings!
